Girls On Film
GIRLS Aloud have signed a megabucks deal to film a Christmas special.

The sexy girlband will add a dash of festive spice to ITV with The Girls Aloud Party.

The show will see Nadine Coyle, 23, Nicola Roberts, 23, Cheryl Cole, 25, Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh, both 26, perform hits and unveil their Christmas single. They’ll also chat to showbiz pals — with Take That top of their list — AND perform comic skits.

Sarah let slip to TV Biz: “This year has been great for us and what better way to round it off than a festive special.

“The show will be a Girls Aloud Christmas party and loads of fun.” ITV was prepared to pay over the odds to secure the girls who are keen to sign up with the station, TV Biz can reveal.

A source said: “The girls are like family to ITV and we’d do anything to stop them going to another channel. They started their career here on Popstars: The Rivals and the public loves them.

“And since Cheryl’s been on X Factor she’s become a national treasure.”

The source added: “They want people to see another side of them which is why they’ve agreed to do the show.

“They’re more ambitions than just singing and this is a great showcase for them. Sarah in particular wants to be an actress.

“Also, it gives them a chance to show Charlotte Church how it’s done. That rivalry’s still there and they’re really stepping on her toes with this.”

“It’ll be the must-see show of the season.”
